So, you decided to join us “nubs” in the AWP world. Well, guess what? The AWP happens to be one of the best guns (if not the best gun) in the game!

Basics:

-You kill non-hacking humans in one shot! Yes! It takes two shots from an AWP, or one shot + pistol to kill a wolf, but thats not a big deal.

-AWP has 100% accuracy. Where you aim, it shoots. What more can you ask for?

-Why AWP over a Scout? Well, if you need convincing I suggest that you not give a shit about whether or not people call you a noob. AWP is better. In all ways.

-Dealing with people that call you a noob, or say it takes no skill. Haha, YES! You have reached AWP fame-dom. When someone tells you this, just respond with “Well, if its so easy why dont you just buy and AWP and own me with it?”. No one has ever taken me up on this offer. Its simply not that easy, especially from close range.

Now that you know the basics! Here are the pro tips!

-Pro tip #1:

You can up the rate of fire by “weapon swapping” similar to how you would normally shoot in Counter-strike. This is not a hack, a glitch, or make your AWP full auto… lol, it doesnt help you aim either. Its an advanced tactic for those looking to up their rate of fire (and kills) if you can already aim. If you cant already aim… this wont help you. What is aiming? Well, if you can run unscoped, see a STATIONARY target, pull up your scope and shoot it (and kill it) in 1 second thats aiming. If you need to spend more than 1 sec in scoped mode to hit something, this may not be for you.

Heres how to do it:

-Take out AWP
-Take out Pistol
-Press “Q” for “last weapon”
-Now, pressing “Q” lets to alternate between your AWP and Deagle.
-Walk with your AWP out, and find a target.
-Open your scope with Right Mouse; shoot.
-Now, before your scope automatically pulls back (the animation where you pull the gun away from you to open the bolt) PRESS “Q” NOW, TWICE.
-You will switch to your pistol very fast, then right back to the AWP.
-You can now open your scope again and shoot.

Once you perfect this tactic, you can find that you can kill 4 people in 2 seconds. You still have to aim, but, you dont have to wait for the normal reload times.

-Pro tip #2:

Never spend too much time in scoped mode. Unless you’re camping the straight in Covolt or something, you shouldnt spend more than 2 sec. in scope. Being scoped limits your ability to see, which is important, especially in PUB games where everyone is doing their own thing. Most of my shots (and kills) are performed with the scope opened only for less than a second.

-Pro tip #3:

Dont no-scope. Its ALWAYS better to open up your scope at someone standing right in front of you. When you can do it fast enough, it is almost the same thing as no scoping, except your shots will be 100% accurate. No scoping, even at a target thats 1 meter away is not a guaranteed hit. Open your scope, and it will be.

Now… for the good part… HACKS!

If you think im going to tell you where to get hacks, or how to make them, GTFO out now. I hate hackers. I play 100% legit, all the time, every time. Once you reach a certain level you become a “hacker” in this game. I get called a hacker at least 3 times a day, a lagger 10 times, and an AWP noob 50 times. You just learn to accept it after a while.

If you stay away from hacks you never need to worry about being banned, and when you do get banned you wont have to make up a story about how:

Your brothers, sisters, moms, uncles, grandma was playing on your account and used hacks.

Or,

How you just downloaded hacks and kept them on your machine but never used them.

Stay away from hacks people, please. It makes the game more fun for everyone. Nothing is better than called being a hacker (and getting banned from Counterstike servers all over the world lol) when you’re 100% legit. Its the ultimate compliment. Also, lag is hard enough to deal with… we dont need hackers and laggers.
